All Mimi Venezia jewelry is handmade working in the Venetian Glass Lampwork tradition. The artist works with a gas burner (the ‘lamp’) which produces a steady, narrow and powerful flame. The glass is melted into a honey-like consistency and manipulated with tools to give its shape. Different coloured glasses are used, and a number of techniques are used to give each bead its unique shape and design. The result is a work of exceptional detail, a piece of handmade jewelry ready to be worn and admired.
